New to Skype

So I installed skype and was chatting with a policeman in China in a few minutes.  We made friends pretty quickly.  I thought I had a new hobby so I went to the store a bought a map to hang beside my computer.  I was hoping to make many friends and keep track of them on my map.  Well since last night I have not been able to get anyone else.  I won't give up yet.
