A big accident

Yesterday, I had to be out all day because of cleaning carpets by the cleaner in the host family's house.

I came home and I helped putting furniture back after dinner but, then, a big accident happened.
A bet sheet that my host brought hit a wine glass that she put on the table of the corridor. The glass of unfinished wine dropped down on the floor and broke up. And the wine was spilled over the cleaned fresh carpet. Unfortunately, the carpet's color is white and the wine was red.

She felt regret very much and said repeatedly "I'm stupid".
Actually, I was also drinking wine with her. And, when she asked me what kind of wine I like, I recommended the red wine. I also regretted if I recommended the white one, the damage might be reduced.

I helped the cleanup of the accident into the night. It was a heavy day for me.
