#1 - Introduction to Me!

Greetings!
My name is Derek.
I'm eighteen years old and I live in the United States.
I was born and raised in Oklahoma, so I'm used to living in a hot climate with short winters.

I am a native speaker of English, but I have relatives who speak other languages.
One of my aunts is Brazilian, and she speaks Portugese.
Another aunt is Mexican and she speaks Spanish (how quickly she speaks, even compared to my Brazilian aunt!. I try to talk to her on the phone and it is sometimes hard for me to keep up. :(
One of my cousins is 26 years old and is living in China.
He married a nice Chinese lady and they have a one year old daughter named Xu Lin (I think).
My second-cousins are Native American, and speak Sioux.
So my family tree is filled with language!

I'm interested in learning Japanese and Russian, and I help anyone with learning English.
Remember that I am not a teacher, but I will always try my best to help anyone who asks me!
