Hello all - My name is SIMKathy and I am from the west coast of the United States. I am exploring many new and exciting sites on the internet primarily to look for technologies that can be used in secondary education and to understand the new era of Web 2.0.  So many exciting things are happening on the internet these days.

So much of the internet development concerns participation and I think that we are going to see some very exciting and interesting developments. My congratulations to the folks at XLingo for creating this novel site. 

If I could say one thing: please try to find a way to make it possible for teens to participate and be safe while using this site. The folks at bloglines discovered this important aspect in regards to their site and you can read about it at the bloglines blog.

Our school teaches Spanish, French and Mandarin. It would be great if kids could connect, but again safety will become important for this age group.
