Language learners of the world unite

Hello everyone. I start today this blog in order to help people interested in learning Spanish and try my self to get help to practise my English, specially my spoken English.

I think Internet is such a powerful tool to learn languages and help each other to improve the foreign languages we learn and  to offer help to people learning our native languages.

Before the only way for me to practise conversation in English was to put an add on the add board of the Official School of Languages here in Madrid, were I studied, looking for an English or American student of Spanish to make an exchange of conversation. Of course I also could have travelled to England or the US but was much more expensive.

Now with MSN or Skype I can speak with people around the world without moving from my room. That is great!

I can also listen to the radio and watch some TV in English and French on-line. Some years ago you only could listen to foreign radio with a satellite radio set, and there was so much noise (jamming you say?) . Afterwards it came the satellite dishes but the first ones were very expensive too and you also had to pay for the installation at the roof or install it yourself at the balcony (and now that is illegal in Spain, althoug many people does it anyway, but they can be fined (multado)

In todays entry I will recommend you a Spanish band I like very much to practise your Spanish with its lyrics. Its name is Amaral and here is the lyrics of "Sin ti no soy nada" (I'm nothing without you)
