Japanese suffix to a name

Usually, suffix to a name is used to make it sound polite. "san" is the most popular suffix to a name. (e.g. Suzu san/Suzu-san) but do you think kids use "san" to their friends too? No, they don't. Japanese has various suffix. - san (さん) The most pupular suffix to a name between adults. it can be used to male and female name. it comes after a family name and a first name. (e.g. "Konnichiwa, suzu-san" "Konnichiwa, Smith-san") - sama (さま/様) The most polite suffix to a name. it is usually for writing. We always put Sama on an envelope. Some business people might use it in speaking when they meet their clients. - kun (くん/君) Kun is usually used to call boys. it can come after a family name or a first name. (e.g. Taro-kun, Suzuki-kun) A boss at a office might use it to their male/female staff but it sounds a little oldfashioned. - chan (ちゃん) Chan is usually used for girls and usullay comes after a first name. (e.g. Yoko-chan)
