Is xLingo dying....????

Posted 2007-12-10 02:04:30 | Comments (4)

This site is quite for long time, its as silent as dead cow. The groups are quite, the blogs and forums speak rarely. This reminds me of an Urdu couplet,

Khudara maut ki basti bhi najane kaisi basti hai,

Badhi jaati hai aabadi, magar veerani nahi jati.

Translation:

Lo Lord, strange is the vally of death (graveyard), the population here is ever increasing, but the silence never goes away.

And xLing seems to go in that very way. Members have found their ( language ) partners but very few are intersted in sharing their knowledge. Only two things one can leave behind after he/she departs from this world, one is his/her children and other is  knowledge.

I am not finger pointing to anyone, I am equaly resposible for this. I have been in dormat stage for last few months. So first of all I will try my best to contribute to this site, and at the same time I request all the members to come forward and contribute too. This site is not only for finding language partners but its a study place.

Hope to see some good posts and blog entries soon.

Hi Munna, thanks for the great support.
Actually traffic for the site has been slow for the past few weeks, but it's picking up again, and a lot of spammers, I was busy banning people left and right. Maybe it's the holiday season also.

Some members are maybe too shy to post questions and posts. But we do encourage our members to ask questions and share their knowledges.

It's me XDDDD

Indeed, bring up and keeping a large group is unfamiliar for me. I don't know how to open a new topic in front of an uncertain crowd. I'd rather talk with my new friends privately on MSN.

Even so, I do admire you. And actually I read your blog and forum regularly.

Thank's for sharing~~

Hey Dot,

Thanks for your comments. I do understand that people are shy or worried while posting something in public. But that is the fear we all need to overcome.

There is always a first time. If you don't do it first time, you wont be able to do it anymore. Faint hearted never get the fair lady... what do you say. You cant get it right unless you try. And moreover what will happen if you write something wrong, nobody is going to hang you. Open up, people here not as bad as we think.. ;-)
