私は攻殻機動隊を見たことはありませんが、海外で人気らしいですね。あ、「何時か」は間違ってはいませんが、ひらがなで「いつか」と書くほうが多いですよ。 it's so amazing that you have all correct kanji in your sentence. by the way, can I ask what it is in your avator picture? It always makes me smile :)

The movie 攻殻機動隊 (Ghost in the Shell), seems to be more popular than the series. But I enjoy the series much more. Is it as popular in Japan as it is overseas?

I find it easier to read (and learn) Japanese with kanji, than without kanji. It helps in understanding the meaning of the sentences, and although I may not necessarily know how to pronounce them, I often understand. I make sure that I type in hiragana and then convert, to help me learn the pronunciation.

My avatar is actually my hair, when it was short and blue! It's now long and dark blonde (natural colour), but I'm hoping to dye it blue again soon. I'm not sure if I should visit Japan while I have blue hair though!

攻殻機動隊は、コアなファンも多くて、男の子の間で人気があると思いますが、ナルトやドラゴンボールのように、一般的に広く人気というわけではないです。
I think 攻殻機動隊 is popular between boys and there are hard-core fans, but it's not openly popular like Naruto or Dragon ball.

漢字も一緒に覚えるのは、とても良い勉強方法だと思います。普通の日本語の文章は、全部漢字を使いますからね。むしろ、全部ひらがなで書かれた文章は、逆にとても読みづらいです。
Learning japanese with kanji is very good idea as all Japanese sentences are written with Kanji. actually, all hiragana sentence is pretty hard to read and understand...

毛むくじゃらの犬か、モップか何かだと思ってました・・・。となりのトトロに出てきた「まっくろクロスケ」のことも思い出します。
