1. Is xLingo Free to use?
Yes, xLingo is 100% free to join and use, no donation no fee at all.

2. What's language exchange and how does it work?
a. Once you have joined you can search for other xLingo members who speak the languages you want to learn. And you can contact them via our internal email system. Your personal email address is never revealed in order to protect you from spammers.
b. Grow your languages' skills through our internal email system, ask questions in our forums, chat in the live chatroom or even publish your thoughts with a blog. There are infinite ways to practice, it's only limited by your imagination.
c. Grow your network. New members are joining xLingo every day. As a member of xLingo you can have unlimited numbers of contacts, and keep them with your favorite list.

3. Can I invite my friends/teachers?
Absolutely. That's what xLingo about, creating a language network that our members can learn from each others. You can invite your friends now by clicking Tell your friends about xLingo.com

Technical Information

1. Can xLingo handle non-alphabetical languages such as Chinese, Japanese or Korean?
Yes. xLingo's internal email system/Forums/Chatrooms/Blogs are all capable of handling non-alphabetical languages.

2. Can I hide my profile if I found enough language exchange partners?
Yes. You can hide your profile from showing up in searches by setting "Hide My Profile" to yes in your "My Profile Setting". And when you are ready for some new friends you can always turn your profile back on by unchecking it.

3. Do you have a Address Book feature that I can store my xLingo contacts?
Your "Friends" acts as your address book. Add members to your favorite list by clicking "Add to Favorite" on their profile page. Once you have done that, then their names will appear in the "send to" drop down box when you click "Compose New Mail". You can also jump to your favorite xLingo members' profile pages via the "Friends" section. So You don't have to search for some xLingo member's profile again and again. It's really a time saver.
